Margaret and Glenn were high school sweethearts and started dating in 1989. They suffered many losses including their daughter, Madelynn, was born still on May 12, 2009 at 39+ weeks gestation. They lost 9 pregnancies, 3 of which were twins. Madelynn’s twin died at 10 weeks gestation. They decided very early in their grief journey to turn their pain to purpose. They lived in New Jersey where Margaret joined the TEARS Foundation and developed the Center for Pregnancy and Infant Loss.
Margaret is a Certified Reiki Master Teacher and is also a recipient of the Death and Grief Studies Certificate through Dr. Wolfelt’s Center for Loss and Life Transition, in Colorado. For 14 years, Margaret was the Director of Emotional Support for the TEARS Foundation until May 2023. She has developed programs all over the world, including Kenya and Uganda and works compassionately with hospitals, funeral homes, nurses and other compassionate care advocates to collaborate their expertise and provide the best care for newly bereaved families. Margaret has a passion for healing, and has been touched by child loss, pregnancy and infant loss, suicide, drug related deaths, terminal diagnosis as well as many other circumstances. She believes in spreading love and kindness and continue to help others especially when their trauma is not visible.
Margaret received her BA degree in Psychology at Rollins College, Winter Park, Florida and is working towards her Masters degree for counseling. In 2022, Margaret felt there was a need to further her scope to eliminate boundaries and help a broader age range for those who are in need. Reflecations Grief and Wellness Care, Inc was established by Margaret and Glenn Pilon who sought to provide compassionate support for those who have experienced the traumatic loss of a child. Their programs offer bereavement support, education and immediate assistance to parents, grandparents and siblings. In addition, Reflections integrates wellness practices into its approach aiming to foster overall health and wellbeing to inspire hope and healing. With its comprehensive and holistic approach, Reflections strives to serve as a beacon of light for those who are navigating the difficult journey of grief and loss. Margaret also joined the HEAL group as a co-facilitator for families who have suffered a loss of a child. Together with her husband Glenn, they formed an additional resource for the graduates of the HEAL group. This new group is an open style bereavement support group.
Glenn and Margaret will always encourage healing for all who endure life transitions, child loss or those impacted by trauma. They will continue to lift other bereaved families up in HOPE and honors all loved ones gone too soon.
